Quinceañera

The celebrant typically wears a luxurious gown in a color of her choice.

"Before celebration begins, the quinceañera and her family attend a religious ceremony for blessings and faith. Entering the church, the quinceañera will be accompanied with her court as well as her family and godparents. The readings are chosen by the quinceañera, which is usually spoken by her also. The blessing renews the quinceañera bastimal promise and commitment to God. Like when she was baptized, she is making the vows her own. A Tiara will be presented to her by the chosen Godparents.

During the ceremony, girls will receive a bible or a rosary as a devotion and rededication to God. This is also where the "crowing" takes place. If gifted a ring it symbolizes the celebrant's bond to her family, her community, and to God. A last doll will be gifted representing maturity leaving behind her childhood toys and taking on new roles in adult life, becoming independent, and taking on more responsibilities.

"The quinceañera traditionally wears a ball gown, and her court wears gowns and tuxedos. Tiaras, sashes, medals, cross necklaces, and a wand are traditional accessories to enhance her elegance. The quinceañera wears a beautiful hairstyle and elegant makeup to complement her gown."
